Dylan Jones

Dylan Jones was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for Scripps Networks Interactive in October 2015. In this role, he is responsible for the development and supervision of strategic, integrated communications programs for Scripps Networks Interactive including reputation management, media relations, investor relations, social responsibility, employee communications, government relations, speakers’ bureau, event marketing and marketing and creative services. In addition, he supports the company in regard to financial communications and business media matters. He began his career at Scripps Networks Interactive as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications.

 

Prior to joining Scripps Networks, he was Principal at Dylan Paul Jones Communications in New York City. In this role, Jones was in charge of strategizing and overseeing brand positioning, corporate strategy, and marketing and communications campaigns for a diverse range of domestic and international businesses in technology, media, biotech and advertising.

 

He previously held a number of senior roles for EMI, one of the world’s leading music and media companies, rising to lead corporate communications for the global business. He led communications for the company through a series of high profile initiatives, including the biggest corporate bankruptcy in UK history, the launch of the Beatles’ catalog on Apple’s iTunes platform, and the sale and demerger of the business in 2012. He strategized and implemented internal and external communications programs for all key stakeholders during an intense period of corporate and industry change, as well as leading crisis management planning, briefings, speeches and presentations, corporate social responsibility, and corporate social media.

 

Jones also held communications positions with MTV, VH1 and Music Choice Europe in London. Prior to moving into communications, he was a show business journalist at World Entertainment News Network in London.

 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Cambridge, UK. He is based at Scripps Networks Interactive’s headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee.
