Elizabeth Rothenberger

Elizabeth Rothenberger is the Manager of Government Relations at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association.  She joined NCTA’s Government Relations Department as Staff Assistant immediately after completing her undergraduate studies. Elizabeth took advantage of attending college in Washington, DC by pursuing various internship experiences including a position in the office of Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter, as a researcher at a public policy think tank, and at a respected lobbying firm. She parlayed her diverse experience into a full time position with the cable industry’s top advocacy association.

 

Soon after joining NCTA, Elizabeth quickly absorbed new responsibilities, including budget oversight, contract management, and management of the department’s internship program. Through 5 years in the Government Relations Department she has continually expanded her responsibilities and knowledge of both Congress and the cable industry. Her current portfolio as Manager includes representing the Association and industry at various conferences and seminars throughout Washington, DC, coordinating outreach to Capitol Hill, tracking legislative activity, and planning and executing a Congressional program at NCTA’s annual convention.

 

Elizabeth received her Bachelor’s degree from The American University in Washington, DC with a major in International Studies with a focus in Peace & Conflict Resolution and Western European Studies, and a minor in French. In her spare time Elizabeth loves spending time with her dog, Franklin, and enjoys training for and participating in sprint distance triathlons in the mid-Atlantic region.
