Elva Acosta

Elva Acosta has 15 years of experience in project and
program management.  She joined Comcast
Central Division Project Management Office (DPMO) in June 2009.   She
spent the initial five years on planning and execution of video deployments,
including X1 Platform.  She was promoted
to Director in 2014 and began supporting the Nirvana Customer Experience
Initiative with a focus on tech ops and care initiatives in that portfolio.  She works cross-functionally with various
functional areas in her division office as well as the corporate and regional
counterparts and has recently taken on additional responsibilities to manage
the DPMO project intakes for Central Division.  Prior to Comcast, Elva worked for Accenture,
Centro Latino, and ConAgra Industries.

Elva has participated in the Comcast Leadership Program
known as FOL (Fundamentals of Organizational Leadership in 2014) as well as
Half the Sky (Graduate of 2015), and most recently, selected to participate in
WICT’s Rising Leaders Program in June 2016.

Elva graduated from the University of Georgia with a
Bachelor of Social Work degree (1995). 
In 2000, she obtained her MBA with a concentration in International
Business from Kennesaw State University. 

She resides in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys spending quality
time with family and friends.  Elva comes
from a large Mexican-American family (she is number of 6 out of 7 and has over
20 nieces and nephews).  She also enjoys
fitness classes, hiking, and traveling.
