VP, Marketing & Communications
Erin Powers joined The WICT Network in August 2022 as VP, Marketing & Communications. In this forward-facing role, Erin works closely with The WICT Network’s Chief Development Officer and EVP, Technology & Digital Communications to hone the association’s external messaging, enabling the organization to powerfully communicate its vision and mission to members and industry stakeholders. She is passionate about The WICT Network’s mission to develop women leaders and commitment to providing data-driven research that illuminates the many benefits of gender parity, not just for businesses, but for society. In the words of the great Ruth Bader Ginsberg, a personal hero of Erin’s, “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.”
Prior to joining The WICT Network, Erin worked for a decade at the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), a nonpartisan, nonprofit membership association that provides professional development and services for financial aid administrators and advocates for public policies that increase student access to and success in postsecondary education. There she oversaw the marketing, communications, and media relations strategy and operations for the association as the Director of Marketing & Communications.
Erin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Communications and Psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She also received a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree from Georgetown University, where she studied Public Relations and Corporate Communications.
In her spare time, Erin enjoys hiking, reading, going to see live music, finding delicious (but not too complicated) new recipes to try, and spending time with her husband and two young sons.
