Erin Thornton grew up in San Diego, California with her parents and younger brother. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at UCLA, where she earned a BA in Sociology in 2002. After a year of running the operations for a semi-professional basketball league in Long Beach, California, she decided to enroll in graduate school at NYU, where she earned a MS in Sports Business with a concentration in Marketing and Media in 2005.
Erin currently works at ESPN as Associate Media Manager in the Marketing department where she is responsible for planning owned media assets as well as developing off-channel media plans to promote ESPN programming. She works on media plans for brands including NBA, NFL, College Football, College Basketball, the Masters, British Open, and ESPN3.com. She has worked on the ESPN Media team for nearly 5 years.
In her free time, Erin enjoys practicing yoga, baking, cooking, spinning and going to the movies. As an avid sports fan, Erin regularly follows the San Diego Chargers and UCLA Athletics.
