Grace Thornton is a Director of Product Management in the AI & Discovery group at Comcast Cable. In this role, she is responsible for building and scaling the TV voice control product experience across Comcast, Sky and syndicated partners. This includes the natural language processing intelligence that powers the Technical Emmy winning X1 Voice Remote which is used in more than 26M homes with more than 28 billion voice commands since launch.
In her eight years with Comcast, she has supported the launch of the X1 platform, X1 voice remote, and managing the search engine used across Xfinity tv products. Her favorite part of this job is working with a talented research, design, and engineering team to come up with innovative solutions to solve customer problems.
Grace grew up in Durham, North Carolina and earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern University in Wayne, PA. She is passionate about her Portuguese heritage and in her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, baking, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
