Heather McCallion

Heather McCallion, Vice President of Affiliate Sales for NBC Universal (NBCU) TV Networks Distribution, manages the Eastern Region territory from Maine to Puerto Rico, including Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, West Virginia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. McCallion covers major MSO’s regional and divisional offices in the area and manages all field accounts within the territory. She reports to Mary Murano, Executive Vice President, Affiliate Sales.

Most recently, McCallion was instrumental in the renewal of several NBCU cable services with key cable distributors such as Armstrong, Atlantic Broadband and RCN, including Bravo, Chiller, CNBC, MSNBC, mun2, Oxygen, Sleuth, Syfy, USA Network, retransmission consent, and the Olympics on cable. Additionally, she secured the rollout of NBCU’s HD simulcast networks throughout her region.

Previously, McCallion was responsible for the Southeast territory from North Carolina to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands along the eastern seaboard in addition to the New York and Philadelphia DMA. McCallion covered major MSO’s regional and divisional offices in the area and all field accounts within the Southeast territory.

McCallion began her career with NBC in May 2003 as Regional Manager, Affiliate Sales for the Southeast and Northeast Regions, and was promoted to Director in January of 2005.  Prior to NBC, she worked for Starz/Encore Group as District Manager for the National Division from 1999 until 2003.  Before that, she held the position of Account Executive for The Disney Channel.

McCallion served as President of the Florida Chapter of Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) from 2007 through 2009, and as President of CTAM Caribbean, where she won the 2006 Chapter Growth Award.  McCallion is also a 2008 TAMI Award recipient, rewarded for her commitment to CTAM Chapters.  An active member of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT), McCallion completed the WICT EDS in 2006 and WICT leadership forum (2001/2005). McCallion currently serves as the Co-Lead for the NY/NJ Hub of the GE Women’s Network, the 2009 recipient of the Best Overall Hub. Additionally, she is a fellow of WICT’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (Class 22). 

McCallion holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish, from Roanoke College in Salem, VA.  She resides with her husband and daughter in Cresskill, NJ.
