Heather McHale

Heather McHale is the Director of Public Relations for AMC Networks Entertainment Group, which includes AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC and SundanceTV. Based in New York, Heather initially joined the Public Relations team at BBC AMERICA in 2017, and in 2018 joined the newly-expanded team serving all four networks.

Over the past two years with AMC Networks, Heather spearheaded publicity efforts for the award-winning and #1 most critically-acclaimed show of 2018 (per Metacritic), Killing Eve, and the hit global franchise Doctor Who, which is now in its second season with its first-ever female Doctor in the show’s 55-year history. Other campaigns Heather has worked on include IFC’s Documentary Now! and Sherman’s Showcase, AMC’s A Discovery of Witches, the launch of BBC AMERICA’s nature-focused “micro-network” Wonderstruck and much more.

Prior to joining AMC Networks, Heather was at Viacom’s TV Land for seven years, where she developed and executed PR campaigns for the network’s original series, such as Younger, starring Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff, Hot in Cleveland starring Betty White and Valerie Bertinelli, and The Jim Gaffigan Show starring comedian Jim Gaffigan.

Heather earned her degree from New York University, where she studied Communications and Mathematics, and currently resides on Long Island.
