Helen Miranda – Smith serves as the Regional Vice President of Human Resources for the Florida East Coast Region. The Florida East Coast Region has over one million subscribers and approximately 4000 employees in the South Florida area. Helen is responsible for leading the talent management, employee relations, organization development, and performance management process within the Region.
Before coming to Comcast, Helen worked in the hospitality and transportation industries. She has been with Comcast over sixteen years. Helen began her career with Comcast as an HR Manager in the Union, New Jersey system. She worked in the Spotlight organization as a Group East Director of Human Resources and was promoted into the South Florida Region in 2004.
Helen holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas. She has earned a Master of Science Degree in Human Resources Management from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Helen is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Helen, her husband Gary, and daughters Haley and Blair live in Weston, Florida.
