Ilka is a first generation American Latina, born and raised in Queens, NY. She attended Baruch College in New York where she obtained both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degree. Initially, she was interested in becoming an attorney but found she had a viable career in Finance. Ilka began her career working in consulting firms, subsequently worked in Wall Street, and ultimately in media, where she spent the last 10+ years of her career. She is currently the Director of Comp & Benefits, Finance at A&E Networks.
She is a wife and mother of 2 wonderful boys, ages 6 and 3. Ilka currently reside in Queens, NY with her family where she has never left. Her interests include spending time with family, reading, music and simply enjoying life’s moments. She is passionate about children’s education and women’s empowerment.
