Ingrid Simunic

Dr. Ingrid Simunic is Senior Director of Product Management at Time Warner Cable. In this role, she oversees the company’s Residential Phone product which has grown from 500,000 to five million customers and $2 billion in revenue. She has been a major player in helping the company launch over 50 new features and products, and created apps for television, laptop and mobile devices that change how consumers think about and use phones.


 

Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Dr. Simunic spent over five years at VocalTec, a pioneering VoIP company in the U.S., where she held a global marketing executive position and, before that, three years at T-Mobile (formerly Eurotel) in Slovakia as head of marketing business planning. 


 

Dr. Simunic serves as director-at-large of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and as treasurer of the New York chapter of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). She has previously served as president and treasurer of WICT’s New York Chapter and as director on the corporate board for Telio, a publically traded company in Norway. Dr. Simunic is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM).


 

A mentor and advisor to university students, Dr. Simunic is a frequent spe​aker at industry and academic forums. She has also been recognized with numerous industry awards and recognition including being named one of Cablefax: The Magazine‘s "Top Women in Technology" in 2014 and received the award for Outstanding Achievements and Contribution to Community Empowerment by the Society of 110 Foreign Consuls in New York in 2013. 


 

Dr. Simunic received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management from the City University of Seattle, and both an MBA and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Business and Marketing from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia.
