Ivonne Rabassa

As manager of marketing for Rainbow Media, Ivonne Rabassa manages and executes corporate and industry marketing, advertising and public affairs initiatives and special cross-divisional projects that enable Rainbow to meet business based goals.  Ms. Rabassa’s responsibilities include managing corporate media planning, trade marketing, corporate branding and event planning.  Rainbow Media, a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corporation, creates and manages some of the world’s most compelling and dynamic entertainment brands, including AMC, IFC (The Independent Film Channel), Sundance Channel, WE tv, IFC Entertainment and VOOM HD Networks.

During her time at Rainbow, Ms. Rabassa has streamlined the Company’s corporate marketing and branding process and has forged strong relationships with industry and trade partners, resulting in successful partnerships opportunities across its various brands.  She has also increased collaboration across Rainbow’s brands on trade marketing and corporate philanthropic efforts maximizing and elevating the company’s brands to trade and industry partners.

Prior to joining Rainbow Media in 2005, Ms. Rabassa worked in the commercial real estate industry.  She served for two years as manager of marketing for New York based L. J. Melody & Company.  In this role, Ms. Rabassa developed, executed, and managed marketing and communication initiatives designed to grow the company’s brand, presence, and business activity in the New York tri-state and New England area.  She began her career at New York based Insignia/ESG, Inc as a marketing communications associate, where she executed a wide range of marketing/communications functions.

Ms. Rabassa earned her Masters in Business Administration in international marketing and media communications from Fordham University and her Bachelor of Business Administration in international marketing and psychology from Bernard Baruch College in New York.  She is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC), the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).  Ms. Rabassa is an alumna of the NAMIC Leadership Seminar.  She is also a member and past vice president of marketing for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs’ (NSHMBA) New York Chapter.
