Jamie Braunstein

Jamie Braunstein is the Director of Finance and Strategy within ESPN’s Digital Media Group where she has financial and strategic oversight of ESPN’s mobile and digital video businesses, including ESPN Mobile, ESPN3 and WatchESPN. Jamie and her team are responsible for assessing, projecting and communicating financial performance. For existing partnerships, she is focused on analyzing deals to identify potential savings, renegotiate more favorable terms and forecast more accurately. For new opportunities, she leads her team in building business cases to guide management in their decisions.

 

Jamie earned her BBA at Emory University’s Goizueta Undergraduate Business School. Upon graduating, she began her career at UBS Investment Bank as an analyst. She joined the ESPN family in 2004.  In 2006, as the Manager of Mobile ESPN & ESPN Wireless, she was a key member of a small team focused on shutting down the ESPN MVNO, redefining ESPN’s mobile content licensing strategy and negotiating a multi-million dollar deal with Verizon Wireless. In 2007, she steered the effort to author a rate card that incentivized mobile carriers and aggregators to carry all ESPN, ABC and Disney mobile video channels. In 2008, Jamie became a Senior Manager and added financial and strategic oversight of ESPN3 and ESPN iTV to her resume. With her keen understanding of ESPN’s mobile and live online video businesses, she was named the digital finance lead of "ESPN Everywhere". After succeeding in defining a realistic and fiscally responsible plan, she earned oversight of the new "WatchESPN" P&L. In 2011, she stepped into her role as Director of Finance & Strategy.
