Jason G. Welz
VP, MSO Sales Alcatel-Lucent
Jason is the Vice President of MSO Sales for Alcatel-Lucent, North America. In his role, Welz oversees business development, sales and sales engineering for several MSO accounts, in support of Alcatel-Lucent’s extensive product and services portfolio.
Before ALU, most recently, Jason served as the Regional Vice President of Comcast Business Services for Comcast’s Beltway Region, overseeing the commercial services division’s sales, marketing and operations efforts throughout Comcast’s footprint in the Greater Washington DC area, Virginia, Maryland Delaware and West Virginia.
Prior to Comcast, Welz served as President and CEO of Knight Enterprises, a privately held cable and telecommunications outside plant construction and integration firm serving MSO’s across the US. Early in his career Welz spent over 10 years in executive leadership positions at Cox Communications and Time Warner Cable, focusing his efforts on supporting the launch and growth of high-speed data services, telephony and business services.
Welz, a graduate of Georgetown University, is married with five children and enjoys running, golfing and spending time with his family.
