Jennifer Ostrager

Jennifer Ostrager is the Vice President of Outreach and Education Strategy for Cablevision’s MSG Varsity, a first of its kind multi-platform service, which includes a premiere 24/7 network, a pioneering interactive channel and a comprehensive web destination – all dedicated to covering high school sports and activities throughout the New York metropolitan tri-state area.  In her role, Jennifer oversees partnerships with over 600 local high schools.  In addition to ensuring strong relationships with each school, her responsibilities include formulating a content distribution strategy for MSG Varsity, development of curriculum and training to support student media creation, maximization of education tie-ins to MSG Varsity programming, development of education partnerships and integration with other Cablevision business units to expand MSG Varsity’s reach into Cablevision communities. 

Jennifer has been with Cablevision for more than 12 years, joining at the inception of Power to Learn, Cablevision’s commitment to K-12 education.  As Director of Education, she was part of the leadership team tasked with executing Cablevision’s commitment to provide Internet, video and voice to K-12 schools as well as to develop content and programs to make the technology useful for learning.  Just prior to joining MSG Varsity, Jennifer was the Director of Government Affairs and Business, where she worked on a variety of Cablevision business initiatives that intersect with government and municipal entities.

Prior to coming to Cablevision, Jennifer worked in Washington DC, designing experiential programs for high school students focused on civics and government. 

Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Learning, Design and Technology from Stanford University.  Jennifer lives in Long Island, New York with her husband and two young children who can’t wait to see themselves on MSG Varsity in a few years!
