Jill Meinzer

Jill Meinzer is Vice President, Technical Services for ARRIS International.  She oversees Technical Support, Consumer Support, Global Knowledge Services and Service Contracts for ARRIS products worldwide.  In this capacity, she leads teams made up of over 300 managers, support engineers, technical trainers, technical writers, product line and project managers.  Jill provides strategic direction for operations needed to support all post-sale customer-facing technical needs as well as having responsibility for revenue, margins and growth for the Technical Services business unit.

 

With over 20 years of leadership roles in the cable and communications industry, Jill has a strong track record as a hands-on team-builder, collaborator and problem solver.  She began her career at Rockwell as a software engineer for large telecommunications systems, leading to positions managing teams in both Engineering and Services organizations.   Subsequently she joined the start-up company Cadant, which developed the first cable modem termination system (CMTS) to achieve DOCSIS 1.1 qualification.  Cadant was acquired by ARRIS in 2001 where Jill has remained since in various roles in the Global Services organization leading to her current role.   

 

Jill holds a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University with majors in Computer Science and Math.  She is also a graduate of the inaugural class of the SCTE Tuck Leadership program.  Jill is active in industry and community organizations that promote education and leadership opportunities for women.  She has been a member of the WICT Greater Chicago chapter for many years, continuously recruiting new members, being actively involved on the Board and currently holding the role of Chapter Advisor.  Jill frequently serves as a mentor for young women in the cable industry, recognizing the value of utilizing her own experiences to guide and empower others as they navigate career paths of their own.
