My career-path is on the eclectic-side, full of delays and changes in direction, but ultimately has resulted in success and gratification.  I never realized I was on the road to sales and management, but looking back, it all makes sense.  Anyone who has waited tables knows it’s really a sales job, as well as an exercise in multi-tasking, organization, reading people, and patience.  Well, I waited tables about 6 years longer than my parents would have liked, explored several career ideas, and then discovered the world of wine sales with a distributor in Utah.  When my husband was accepted into a graduate program in Ohio, I became a Senior Sales Representative at Cars.com, and when we moved back, I landed my dream job of managing sales for High West Distillery in Park City.  Here I had the opportunity to travel the country hosting whiskey dinners, educating bar/service staffs on our story, and implementing sales initiatives amongst national distributors.

Eventually my passion shifted towards growth and development, which is why I made the change over to managing a sales team at Effectv (Comcast).  Since arriving about 2 years ago, we’ve been through many exciting changes that are pushing us all to find new approaches to the market and learn how to communicate our unique value proposition.  I’ve experienced both successes and failure, and I’m grateful to have a job that challenges me every day.

On a personal note, I was born in raised in Columbus, OH.  My parents frequently took us out West, so I don’t think it was a surprise when I moved to Utah after graduating from college.  My favorite pastimes include working on crossword puzzles with my husband Dan, spending time with our kids Forrest (5) and Zuzana (2), doing anything outdoors, and playing field hockey.
