Julie LaPointe is a Manager in the Global Rights division of A+E Networks. She exclusively manages rights for the Viceland channel, a joint-venture between A+E and Vice Media, as well as A&E Indie Films. She performs detailed legal reviews of contracts and third-party licenses, providing critical rights assessments for internal and external producers. Additionally, she provides music clearance for advertising and network promotions of A+E’s core channels (A&E, History, Lifetime, LMN and FYI).
Prior to joining A+E in 2016, Julie was a Senior Consultant at Cognizant, where she facilitated complex technology projects for media and publishing companies, including integration planning and archival strategy for data migration, custom publishing and digital asset management. She has also worked in rights & licensing for Condé Nast and Sony Music Entertainment. She received her B.S. in Film & Television from Boston University.
