Julie McEachern

Julie loves television and was blessed to find a career that promotes television and all of its glory.  She joined the telecommunications industry in 1999 beginning with TCA Cable and Cox Communications.  Currently she is the Senior Manager of Marketing and Programming for the MidSouth region of Suddenlink Communications.   She drives internal and external customer communications for Operation Gigaspeed, coordinates programming changes and additions, and supports the sales staff across the four-state region. She teams with the engineering and training departments to coordinate new product launches including Home Phone: Unlimited, Connected Home, advanced HSI speeds, DTA roll-outs and TiVo service.  In 2009 with the kick-off of Project Imagine, Julie became a liaison between the regional engineering department and the regional marketing department as well as the sales force in the local stores.

In 2014, Julie earned recognition as one of the Forty Under Forty Professionals in Northwest Louisiana for 2014 by the Greater Shreveport and Bossier City Chambers of Commerce and the Northwest Louisiana Young Professionals.  This program honors young professionals who have made an impact in the Shreveport-Bossier City community through leadership in their careers, dedication to professional development, and passion for community involvement.

Julie is an Ole Miss Rebel with many causes and a heart for volunteering. She began volunteering in high school selling t-shirts for the Minden St. Jude Auction benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She now serves on the auction’s planning committee and has been the phone bank chairman for 10 years.  This event is a multi-million dollar annual fundraiser for the hospital. In 2015, it marked the 39th anniversary and raised $1,319,630.

She also is on the Bossier City Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee and is a member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier City working on the Between the Lines community project promoting literacy and strengthening the bonds between incarcerated dads and their children. In addition, Julie volunteers with the children’s ministry at the First United Methodist Church in Bossier City, LA and is a member of the Ole Miss Alumni Association and the Society of Telecommunications Engineers.  She has completed 6 half-marathons and is not looking forward to training for the 7th.
