Julie Morris

Julie K. Morris is the Production Supervisor of truTV’s Current Programming and Specials department where she is responsible for managing all internal production processes and ensuring truTV programming meets delivery requirements.  She also serves as the primary programming contact with production companies for all truTV projects from pre-pro into production, and is part of the team spearheading the launch of the network’s first native HD network.

Prior to coming to Turner, Julie worked at ABC News Productions as an associate producer, managed an audio post production facility, and worked in the field on a wide variety of non-fiction programs including The Apprentice and Design Star.  Preceding her move to New York, Julie was a segment producer for Detroit Public Television.

Julie obtained a Graduate Certificate in Media Management from The New School, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Wayne State University where she was the Vice President of Lambda Theta, the local branch of the Communication Studies honor society of the National Communication Association.  She is a member of Turner Women Today, Time Warner Women’s Network, Turner NextGen, TurnOUT, and Emerging Professionals at Time Warner.  Julie’s volunteer efforts include her participation in AIDS/LifeCycle 8 where she helped raise over $9,000 to help the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center increase awareness to fight HIV/AIDS and to help support those living with the disease, in addition to participating as a cyclist, riding the 545-mile trip from San Francisco to LA.
