Kara Hughs is the Senior Manager of Account Services for Comcast Spotlight in New England area. Kara joined Spotlight as part of the Power Seller strategy in 2009. After successfully recruiting and hiring a team of Account Managers to oversee order stewardship for the local advertising team in New England West, she was promoted to Senior Manager of Account Services. Kara is currently responsible for managing the successful stewardship of post-sale activities and leadership of the Account Management team for Comcast Spotlight’s New England region.
A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Kara interned at Storer Cable before moving into a full time position, starting her career in the cable industry. An industry veteran with over 20 years experience, Kara has worked with both MSO’s and network groups. She has held roles in both the advertising and marketing departments at Storer Cable and at Cox Communications in New England. Kara has represented E! Networks as an Associate Director, responsible for network distribution. She also supported MSOs as part of the Affiliate Sales team for Disney & ESPN Media Networks.
Kara has been a WICT member for many years and she has been on the board for both the Michigan and New England chapters in the past. Kara currently lives in Manchester, Connecticut with her husband and her American Bulldog, Piper.
