Kara Tefft is currently Director of Finance for Crown Media where she supports financial planning and corporate finance initiatives across the organization.
Kara joined Crown Media in July 2020 as Manager Finance and has been able to accelerate in a short time through fostering strong professional relationships and providing financial support where needed. She has over 15 years media experience having served in several finance and operational roles at both STARZ Networks and DISH Network. Kara progressed her career with STARZ holding leadership positions, overseeing a team of analysts and participating in the organization’s executive leadership program.
Kara holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University and a Master’s of Science in Marketing from the University of Colorado at Denver. She currently resides in Denver, CO with her husband of 20 years and 2 teenage daughters. When Kara is not working, she is spending time outdoors exploring new trails to hike. She also has a passion for adventurous travel and taking road trips with her family.
