Karen Wheeler is Director of Acquisitions for Lifetime and LMN, which are part of A+E Networks. In this role, she negotiates deals for off-net series, theatrical movie packages from major studios, and approximately 100 television movies a year as well as oversees logistics and creative for three output deals consisting of 65 movies annually. Prior to joining the Lifetime and LMN Acquisitions team in 2018, Karen previously worked at A+E networks starting in 2016 on the Scheduling teams for VICELAND (now VICE TV), LMN, and Lifetime. Her previous experience in the media industry includes working as a Researcher for the syndicated version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and as a Production Associate for the documentary film “The Witness.” Prior to working in media, she spent seven years in the non-profit field.
Karen has a Master’s degree in Media Studies and a Certificate in Media Management from The New School as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Media Studies and in Science from Penn State University. She currently lives in Mamaroneck, NY with her husband and new baby daughter.
