Kate Black

As Senior Manager, Software Development and Engineering at Comcast, Kate is responsible for technical operations on a multi-year transformation program. In this role, she is relied upon to drive transformation activities and establish process and tools to support IT services. She leads a team of DevOps engineers accountable for operational governance, infrastructure operations, deployment and environment management.

Kate started her career in the Healthcare IT industry in various roles. She managed operational support for all Business Intelligence and Analytics application portfolio offerings. In this role she worked to build a team of developers, architects, and project managers within the engineering organization to support these applications and customer base. Her past experience also includes managing large scale implementations of Electronic Medical Record systems at healthcare organizations across the nation.

She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Advertising. She will complete her Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University in May ’20.

Kate lives outside Philadelphia in Collegeville, PA with her husband, son, and 2 dogs. They enjoy getting outside to hike and traveling. She is also an avid Philly sports fan.
