Kate Hensing has served as Manager of Government Affairs for the Twin Cities Region since June, 2013. In this role, Kate is responsible for supporting franchise negotiations, amplifying brand and product awareness, garnering new and existing partnerships and assisting in meeting legislative goals. Prior to joining Comcast, Kate spent three years at the Minnesota House of Representatives as a Committee Legislative Assistant. During this time, Kate assisted in committee hearings and meetings for the Redistricting Committee, Education Reform Committee and Permanent School Funding Advisory Committee.
Kate is committed to giving back to the community. She has served as a project leader for Comcast Cares Day and is currently serving as Co-Lead for Comcast’s Twin Cities Region Women’s Employee Resource Group. Kate is currently a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications and serves on the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee.
Kate graduated from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Kate is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Journalism and Strategic Communication through the University of Iowa. Kate enjoys time exploring new local restaurants throughout Minnesota, and traveling with her family.
