Katherine Fox

Kathy is the Sr. Director of Planning & Project Management for Comcast’s Engineering and Platform Services group.  In this role, she is primarily focused on Metro Ethernet and Cell Back Haul service delivery and development initiatives.  Her team manages MSC (Master Switching Center) builds and core network augments in support of commercial services.  Kathy also manages the offshore teams responsible for a large portion of the Metro Ethernet design engineering and provisioning engineering activities.  She and her team successfully implemented Comcast’s Metro E BPO (Business Processing Outsourcing) initiative, resulting in significant cost savings for commercial services.  With a constant collaborative approach, she continually drives system and process enhancements for commercial services.  

 

Kathy is known for her dedication to customer experience and that focus, along with her expertise in program management, network and customer operations and ability to manage large, cross-functional teams serves her well in this current role.  A 25 year cable/telecommunications veteran, she has held progressive management roles with Adelphia, BellSouth Telecommunications and Comcast.   Some of Kathy’s key career accomplishments include managing launches for high speed internet, digital cable, VOD, VoIP and Metro Ethernet as well as managing many cable television property migrations, major provisioning system development initiatives and developing service delivery processes.

 

Kathy is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Telecommunications.  She resides on her Pennsylvania farm with her 2 daughters, Hallie and Madison, a sophomore at Penn State.  Her volunteer activities include Board of Directors member for her local school board where she is an avid supporter of STEM initiatives, annually participates in "Adopt a Family for Christmas", and she is a founding member of the Austin Area Education Foundation which provides funding for school programs and scholarships.  When she has free time, Kathy is with her daughters, gardening, hiking, shooting, snowmobiling and attending Penn State football games.  She is also an avid archery hunter.
