Kathleen Trogden

Kathy Trogden joined Comcast Spotlight in 2012 as a Human Resource Manager. Promoted in 2015, Kathy now serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Operations Centers of Excellence. In this role, Kathy is the strategic business partner to the Vice President of Campaign Management and Human Resource support for the Central Division Operations office.

The recipient of the prestigious Comcast Circle of Success Award for Inclusion in 2013, Kathy designed and facilitated a female development program to help women leaders network cross functionally and share resources. The Women Empowerment Luncheon series, now in its third year, started off from a single functional area perspective and now has grown to the Divisional level. “Working with other female leaders allows you to break down the barriers of fear that keep you from moving forward in business. There is a camaraderie that is created within these gender specific development programs that not only builds competency, but builds confidence, collaboration and self-value.”

Kathy personally volunteers with several animal rescue agencies; these roles grant her the opportunity to help educate others on proper training and care for animals:

  • Canine Trainer: Michigan Humane Society/specializing in Pit Bull training
  • Canine Foster Parent:
    • Divine Canine-Flint Michigan
    • PROUD Detroit-Detroit Michigan
    • Almost Home Animal Shelter-Southfield Michigan
    • POET Animal Rescue-Westland Michigan
    • CHAINED-Detroit Michigan

Kathy is also trying to make a difference globally. She will be attending her first mission trip in July to Costa Rica where she will assist with building a home in three days for a family. She will also be working in a medical center administering help for those in the Costa Rican village she will be visiting.

Kathy has over 25 years of leadership and Human Resources experience. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University where she earned a Master’s Degree majoring in Leadership Development and Human Resource Management, with a minor in Religious studies. She has three children, twins Matthew and Kevin and her youngest Conner. She resides in Michigan with her sons and five dogs.
