Kathy Brabson is Regional Vice-President for the Central Texas division, which serves customers in Austin, Waco, Temple, Killeen, San Marcos and surrounding areas. In this role she provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for both customer care and technical operations.
Kathy began her successful career in the cable industry in 1979 as a customer service representative in a small cable office located in Lake City, Florida. Her telecommunications background includes being a customer service representative, a dispatcher, an office manager, a General Manager for Time Warner Cable operations in Illinois and Arizona, and the Area Manager for the company’s Findlay, Ohio, systems. Most recently, she served as Vice President and General Manager for Time Warner Cable’s Myrtle Beach, SC system serving approximately 220,000 customers.
Kathy received an Associate Degree in general studies in 1994 with a 4.0 GPA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1996.
Kathy has served as a board member for various organizations, including the Arizona and South Carolina Cable Television Associations, and also as Chairman in South Carolina. She currently serves as Secretary for the Texas Cable Association Board and is also a board member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, class of 2004.
Kathy lives in Austin with her husband, Andy, and their three children.
