Kelley Drukker

Kelley Drukker has worked in
a business affairs capacity in the entertainment business for over 20 years. Kelley
is currently at A+E Television Networks as the Senior Vice President of Legal
& Business Affairs. Specifically, she oversees four areas within the Legal
department: Global Rights, Standards & Practices, Music Services, and
Budget Management. Her various teams serve all business units for A+E Networks’
brands such as History, A&E, Lifetime, FYI, CI, and Lifetime Movie Network as
well as the ancillary businesses.

 

Kelley oversees the Global Rights department, and is
primarily responsible for the management of rights of over 100,000 program
assets and advises A+E business units regarding program rights availability in
order to monetize and exhibit content. Additionally, her department secures
rights to third party materials and provides risk assessment on programming and
marketing initiatives. She is also part of the strategic planning for rights availability
for the Company’s new business initiatives, and is instrumental to the continued
acquisition and management of rights for new content distribution platforms. Under
her direction, the Global Rights department has made major rights management system
and technical advancements, serving every business unit in the company.

 

As the Standards & Practices department head, she
ensures that all A+E Networks’ content meets the standards of good taste and
community acceptability. To accomplish this goal, each program is individually
evaluated with theme, context, audience expectation, time of airing, TV rating,
and other factors all taken into consideration. Kelley advises executives at
the Networks on problematic issues such as nudity, sexual situations, language,
violence, and subject matter. She also creates and enforces S&P policies
and guidelines across all networks, websites, consumer products, marketing and
promos, print, and ad sales.

 

Kelley helped spearhead the creation of the Music
Services department, a revenue and publishing administration business. The
department is mainly responsible for the collection of worldwide music
performance revenue, providing music supervision and creative services,
negotiation of music deals, and building a highly successful A+E Music Library
business.

 

Prior to A+E Television Networks, Kelley worked at
Oxygen Media as Vice President, Business Affairs Administration. In this role,
she oversaw Rights & Clearances, Standards & Practices, and Music
Administration. Previously, she worked at MTV Networks in Rights &
Clearances, where she was honored with the Chairman Award for Employee of the
Year.

 

She is a long-standing member of the TV Monitoring
Board managed by the National Cable Television Association and the National
Association of Broadcasters, which is dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and
consistency of the TV ratings guidelines across the television industry
nationwide.

 

Professionally, Kelley is a member of WICT, a graduate
of the esteemed Betsy Magness Leadership Institute sponsored by WICT, an active
Mentor in various industry programs including WICT’s Prime Access, and leads a
robust development curriculum within in her own teams monthly at A+E. Kelley
has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in Mass Communication.
