Kimberly King

​Kimberly King is a media and entertainment juggernaut. Delivering compelling content as a writer, editor, copywriter, talent producer, creative strategist and integrated marketer, Kimberly’s kaleidoscope of pathways in television, digital, music and print have morphed into a career full of dynamic experiences.

 

Kimberly is the Director, Ad Sales Marketing for Travel Channel and Great American Country at Discovery, Inc.  Here, she is responsible for developing marketing programs to support advertiser products and services leveraging their lifestyle brands.  Previously, Kimberly managed the ideation, operations, production and activation processes for various advertiser/agency sponsorships with BET Networks, a division of Viacom Media Networks.  Kimberly’s passion for brand partnerships was ignited creating and executing customized opportunities across broadcast, digital, and large scale experiential platforms including The BET Awards, Black Girls Rock, BET Hip Hop Awards and the Soul Train Awards.

                                 

As a versatile writer and editor, Kimberly’s byline has been viewed on the pages of the Essence, Playbill and The Source magazines.  She’s penned bios for an array of executive and celebrity talent, in addition to her credentials as a contributing author to the Kensington Books installment Souls of My Young Sisters: Young Women Break Their Silence with Personal Stories That Will Change Your Life.   

 

Kimberly holds a Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing and a Professional Certificate in Digital Media Marketing from New York University.  Kimberly sits on the Board of Trustees for The Oliver Scholars Program which prepares high-achieving African-American and Latino students for success at top independent schools and prestigious colleges.   Also a proud graduate of Wesleyan University, she serves as a member of the Alumni of Color Network and a class representative on the Wesleyan Fund.  Kimberly is a native of New York and resides in the Bronx with her husband and son.
