Director, Network Presentation Scheduling Discovery, Latin America/US-Hispanic
Latonia is the Director of Network Presentation Scheduling at Discovery Channel (Latin America/USH). In this role, she is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring maximum effectiveness of the breaks with optimal promo and commercial placement. Her team is accountable for the execution and development of long-term strategies across the portfolio of the brands handled within each respective Latin America and US Hispanic region.
Latonia began her career with Discovery Latam/USH nearly nine years ago as the Director of Media Planning. She pioneered this department from conception to completion. As part of regionalization, the department was recently restructured and is now considered a vital aspect of Content Operations. That being said, Latonia was recently assigned to her new role as Director of NPS, which is a fusion of various operational teams. Within this newly defined role, she has ultimately been tasked with directing and leading the implementation of core business initiatives, particularly those focused on providing superior operational support for Content & Sales to achieve the overall business objectives.
Prior to joining Discovery Latam/USH, she held a Manager of On-Air Promotions & Strategy position at HGTV (Knoxville), as well as Manager of On-Air Promotions & Marketing at CNNI (Atlanta). In fact, Latonia began her career in media at Turner Broadcasting in 1997 and spent approximately 8 years there before moving on to aforementioned opportunities.
She has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts & Sciences, Sociology from the University of Arkansas. In her spare time, Latonia enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with family and friends. She currently resides in Miami Shores, Florida.
