Lauren Woolley

Lauren Woolley is the Senior Tax Director at ARRIS International Plc in Atlanta, Georgia.  She has responsibility for the world-wide corporate income tax compliance, reporting, and planning.  She works directly with the VP of Tax, C suite and external auditors to communicate income tax matters.  She joined ARRIS just under two years ago in her newly developed role for the larger more complex internationally-focused company.


Lauren is a US tax director in the federal tax practice in Atlanta, Georgia. She has responsibility for federal tax in tax consulting, tax accounting and tax compliance. She has served clients both as a member of the client’s tax department, recently by filling the role of VP of Tax for a client, and as a client service provider. In the service provider role she has assisted with tax structuring, tax accounting and tax compliance.


Previous to her current role, she was a US tax director with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta, Georgia.  She was in both the federal and international tax practices. In these roles she assisted with tax structuring, tax accounting, tax compliance and various tax complexities.  

Throughout her thirteen years at PwC, she has worked with domestic and multinational companies, including companies in the Fortune 500. She has lead engagement teams in diverse areas such as accounting for multi-billion business combinations, internal restructurings resulting in tax efficiency and savings, leading a multi-national tax department in a loan staff capacity working on tax planning to achieve certain corporate goals, ensure accurate and timely presentation of tax information in the financial statements, and ensuring timely tax filing requirements were met, and ensuring audits of income taxes result in no control deficiencies or findings.

In addition to her client service role, she served as the Income Tax Chief Auditor assisting engagement teams throughout the East Coast with questions and issues related to tax technical matters, how to properly account for those, and how to properly support those positions for the financial statement audit.

Lauren has also served as a primary facilitator of income tax accounting courses to both tax and audit professionals, including managers, directors, and partners, throughout the country.
