Lea Ann Tidwell is the Manager of Quality Assurance and Workflow Analysis for Insight Communications. She manages the Quality Assurance Analyst, the Business Analyst and the AS/400 Developers in the Information Technology Department. She is also responsible for the Project Management on the major projects for IT and making sure the department stays Sox Compliance.
Lea Ann joined Insight in September of 2005, as Project Manager of IT. She developed processes and standards for managing all projects that come to the department. She also developed and documented the Software Development Life Cycle process that Insight uses in their IT department. She enforces that all processes are followed and executes the audit checks to ensure Insight’s IT department passes the Sox Audits.
A year later, Lea Ann started building the Quality Assurance Analyst and the Business Analyst positions in the IT department. She now manages those positions. Last year the AS/400 Developers were also moved under Lea Ann for her to manage. She has been managing these areas, developing standards and processes, producing a more quality and efficient department. Lea Ann is also creating training opportunities for her team with other Insight departments, so everyone can be very knowledgeable on how cable works.
Before Insight, she worked in IT departments for various types of industries. Beginning her career in IT 30 years ago as a developer, she moved up through project lead positions to Manager of Application Development.
Lea Ann graduated from University of Louisville, Speed Scientific School with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. She is also a member of Project Management Institute. She resides in Louisville, Ky.
