Lela Cocoros

Lela Cocoros has had an extensive career in communications and marketing, working across a wide spectrum of businesses, from Fortune 500s to startups and nonprofits. She formed Brunswick Street Advisory to help companies, organizations and executives increase their visibility, improve their online presence and achieve their business goals through strategic communications, thought leadership and content development.

Prior to Brunswick Street Advisory, Lela led the editorial content, marketing and communications team for PlaceWise Digital, the leading provider of digital content, marketing and advertising services to the U.S. shopping center industry, serving more than 700 shopping centers.

For ten years, Lela was co-founder and principal of October Strategies, Inc., an award-winning strategic communications consulting firm, with clients including Liberty Media, Liberty Global, J:COM, Bright House Networks, Here! Media, ION Media Networks and Entertainment Studios.

Before October Strategies, Lela spent several years at Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI – now part of Comcast) where, as EVP of corporate communications, she was part of the senior executive team that sold TCI to AT&T in 2000. She has also held management positions at The Cable Center, NBC Corporate and the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau (now the Video Advertising Bureau).

Lela holds a degree in Film and Television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and did graduate work in museum studies at The Johns Hopkins University. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors for her work, including the NCTA Vanguard Award for Young Leadership and two Beacon Awards from the Association for Cable Communicators. She was a member of the inaugural class of WICT’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute and served as Board Chair of Cable Positive. She has also served on the board of Freedom Service Dogs of America, a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and custom training them for individual client needs.

Off the clock, Lela is an accomplished collage and mixed media artist. She and her husband, Jon Goldstein, reside in Scottsdale, Arizona.
