Lenni Bunin

Lenni Bunin is director of program planning and scheduling for Cartoon Network and Boomerang, two family cable networks within Turner Broadcasting’s Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media (AYAKM) group.  In this position, Bunin is responsible for strategizing the schedule planning for all Cartoon Network day-parts, including run of schedule and prime time franchises.  She also collaborates with senior management on all series launch plans, movies and on-air stunt strategies to align with network priorities.  She furthermore reviews and monitors daily ratings progress as well as the networks’ competitive landscape to make recommendations accordingly.  Bunin is based in Atlanta and reports directly to Stacy Isenhower, senior vice president of programming scheduling for AYAKM.  urner Broadcasting System Inc.’s Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media group.

A long term Turner Broadcasting employee, Bunin began her career at Cartoon Network serving first as a programming assistant, then as a coordinator, a manager and senior manager, and finally as a director, which she has held since 2005.  Her role has steadily progressed across this time, from maintaining monthly programming grids and issuing schedule changes to implementing new scheduling and program amortization systems and managing viewer response protocol.  In recent years, her focus has shifted to developing series launch plans through close interaction with network marketing, on-air and public relations teams.  She also has helped to create tracking systems for deliveries of incoming original and acquired new series, and has overseen liaison with network operations for formatting instructions on all programming content for two networks.

Bunin earned a bachelor’s degree in business and behavior science from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta.  She is a current member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), participates as part of Turner Broadcasting’s Business Resource Group “Turner Women Today,” and is a new member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).
