Lesley Wainwright

Lesley Wainwright is Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel for WarnerMedia Distribution (WMD). In this position, she is responsible for leading the legal and business affairs team in connection with negotiating and managing multi-platform distribution agreements for WarnerMedia’s domestic Turner linear networks and on-demand branded content to all traditional and emerging distribution partners throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Lesley has been with WarnerMedia (and previously Turner) since 2005, and prior to joining WMD, she served as assistant general counsel and led the Turner legal department’s program acquisitions practice group, which negotiates deals for films and television series for use on linear networks and on-demand and digital platforms. Throughout her tenure at the company, Lesley has been deeply involved in a number of WarnerMedia business and legal resource groups that mentor and develop women and lead community outreach initiatives. Before WarnerMedia, Lesley was an associate within the private equity practice group at King & Spalding LLP.

Lesley is actively involved in the Atlanta community. She recently served on the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Board of Directors and as a member of its Executive Committee. She also has served in a variety of roles for Fernbank Museum of Natural History for over 15 years, most recently as a member of the Board of Trustees and Corporate Leadership Council. Lesley also is a co-founder of the Alumni Advisory Board of the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, and a member of the 2005 L.E.A.D. Atlanta Class of Leadership Atlanta. She earned a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of the varsity swim team. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
