Lindsay Bennett

​Lindsay Bennett is a 12-year veteran of the cable industry.  In her current role as Director of Program Planning for HGTV, she oversees the creation and execution of both the short-term and long-term strategy for the network’s linear schedules.  She also plays a key part in coordinating the network scheduling strategy with Press, Marketing, Creative Services, Affiliate and Ad Sales Departments. 

 

Lindsay is an instrumental member of the HGTV programming team, whose work has consistently broken ratings records for the network for the past three years.
Lindsay began her career at Scripps Networks Interactive in 2004 as part of the Network Operations and Closed Captioning group, where her duties ranged from transcription to asset management.  In 2008, she moved to the programming side of the business and joined the Program Planning team at Fine Living Network in the role of scheduling coordinator, where she worked both on the linear schedule and on short-form projects.  Lindsay then moved on to work on the Program Planning teams at DIY Network and HGTV, serving as scheduling coordinator for each brand and then as manager for HGTV.  She was promoted to her role as Director of Program Planning for HGTV in 2016.

 

Lindsay has a bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a minor in English from Carson-Newman University, where she graduated summa cum laude.  She has been a member of WICT for five years and has served as a mentor with the WICT student mentoring program.
