Lisa Barroso serves as Senior Vice President of Distribution for Crown Media Family Networks, home of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, which is owned and operated by Hallmark Cards, Inc.
Based in Chicago, Lisa plays an integral role in negotiating distribution for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries by creating strategic partnerships, identifying new distribution opportunities and maintaining strong relationships internally and externally. During her tenure, Lisa has negotiated affiliation agreements with MSOs, DBS and OTT providers. Affiliates recognize Lisa as a valuable partner, who is creative in her approach and puts the clients’ needs first. Colleagues appreciate Lisa for her attention to detail, willingness to work cross-functionally and her ability to lead a high performing team.
Lisa began her career in the finance department at Crown Media Family Networks 17 years ago. Recognizing the exciting dynamics of the distribution environment, Lisa transitioned to the distribution team. She earned several promotions for her success in securing carriage for both networks within assigned territories and showcased strong leadership among her team.
Lisa is an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and was honored in 2010 with the Chicago chapter’s "Breaking the Mold" award for mentoring. In 2012, Lisa was named to Multichannel News’ "Forty Under 40" list.
As a former ballerina, Lisa is passionate about supporting the arts and enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Will, and son, Brandon. She also enjoys cooking, especially when it’s Cuban cuisine, which she loved in her hometown of Miami. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix.
