Lisa Choi Owens

As General Manager, Scripps Networks Digital, Lisa Choi Owens leads the company’s digital group that encompasses category-leading websites – including FoodNetwork.com, HGTV.com and TravelChannel.com as well as other digital initiatives including social, mobile, video syndication and other emerging media. She is responsible for setting digital strategy, identifying and growing opportunities on all digital platforms and works closely with the brands and International to create new revenue opportunities.

Owens joined Scripps Networks in May 2008 as Senior Vice President, Digital Partnerships and Marketing, where she led the development of a strong digital distribution network for Scripps’ leading lifestyle content across multiple platforms.

Prior to joining Scripps Networks, Owens served as Vice President of New Media Business Development for FUSE Networks where she identified and negotiated deals with online and mobile partners and developed the brand’s multiplatform strategy. She also held strategic marketing roles with wireless software company Aether Systems and wedding website TheKnot.com. Owens holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Owens serves on the NAMIC board of directors and is a graduate of the WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. CableFAX named her one of the Most Influential Minorities in Cable for 2008 and 2009, and she was recognized as one of Multichannel News’ 2010 Forty Under Forty. Owens was selected to participate in the CTAM U. Executive Management Program in summer 2010.
