Lisa Delligatti

As senior vice president of affiliate sales and marketing, Lisa Delligatti oversees Discovery’s field sales efforts, with specific responsibility for the Northern, Southern and Western regions, monitoring the achievement of the company’s sales and marketing goals there. Delligatti also plays a key role in managing the relationships with key MSO distributors in these regions, including Cox, Charter and Mediacom. Delligatti has continually exceeded assigned annual sales goals in her role, quickly adding 5 million analog subscribers to Travel Channel in just two years. She was also an integral part of realigning the affiliate sales field team to improve overall results, including streamlining policies and procedures to better serve affiliate clients. A 20-year cable veteran, Delligatti previously served as vice president, sales strategy and distribution, Southern region, for Comedy Central. In this role, she managed the Atlanta regional office, handling affiliate sales and marketing for cable systems in 14 Southeastern states. Under Delligatti’s supervision, the Southeast region represented more than 20 percent of total company revenue. In this capacity, Delligatti managed a marketing and expense budget of more than $700,000. In addition to her position as vice president for the Southern region, Delligatti served as vice president, sales strategy and distribution for The Tennis Channel, where she led the development of the national sales strategy and execution for the channel’s May 2003 launch. Previously, during her 10-year career at Discovery Networks, Delligatti held various affiliate sales positions, including director of affiliate sales and marketing, Southern region, where she managed the affiliate sales and marketing for the region, comprised of 11 states. While at Discovery, Delligatti also served as director of Canadian sales for TLC, senior account manager and account manager in Discovery’s affiliate sales and marketing department. In 2006, Delligatti was selected to join WICT’s (Women in Cable Telecommunications) Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, and she is currently participating in the institute’s yearlong leadership fellowship program. In addition to her involvement with WICT, she is an active member of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). Delligatti holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. She is the mother of two children, resides in Washington, D.C., and is based at Discovery’s world headquarters in Silver Spring, Md.
