In her own words… 

 “Growing up as a child, I always separated my Halloween candy into small piles of matching colors, shapes and sizes.  This obsessive compulsive behavior has helped to mold me into the WICT Branding Officer I have become today!  Prior to obsessing over the WICT brand, I was an account manager at a strategic advertising agency, but began my career in television and video production.   

When not at WICT, I enjoy spending time instructing my husband and five-year old daughter on the correct way to assemble and wear pop bead necklaces using only matching and coordinating beads.” 

Best advice ever heard:
"Keep your old love letters. Throw away your old bank statements."

Ideal vacation:
"Watching my daughter build sand castles next to the crystal blue Caribbean ocean. The resort would have plenty of fun activities and fancy restaurants that my husband and I could enjoy."

Inspiring wisdom:
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Lisa Vega is WICT’s Director of Marketing & Business Development.

Lisa began her career in television and video production where she wrote and produced thirty-second commercials to air on such national and global networks as CNN, Lifetime, TNT and USA.  She also served as on-air talent for a weekly television program featuring interviews with local business owners.  Most recently, Lisa was an account manager at a strategic marketing, PR and advertising agency driving demand for lifestyle-oriented products and services.

Lisa also served as marketing manager for a large trade association serving the food and beverage industry and over 300 member companies worldwide. While there, she developed and executed cutting edge marketing strategies, research and promotional activities for the association’s member services, including claims program, meetings department and bookstore.

With a B.A. degree in Media Studies from Radford University and a M.S. in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University, her extensive track record and education in marketing and PR principles combine to make her a valuable resource to the WICT team.
