Lisa Welter

Lisa Welter is a Senior Manager in the Controllers Department at ESPN, the Worldwide Leader in Sports.  Working with the company for 13 years, Lisa has continued to progress in various Accounting roles with increasing responsibility.  Currently, she manages a team responsible for the financial forecast and accounting of all major Multi-Media Rights contracts, as well as the revenue recognition for all Affiliate Revenue contracts.  Additionally, Lisa oversees the budgeting, accounting, and approval of all ESPN Capital, which has included substantial campus expansion and advancement in technology.  Lisa continues to make significant contributions during her tenure at ESPN including the implementation of numerous business efficiencies, demonstrating leadership of several company initiatives, and actively participating in key mentoring programs.

Prior to joining ESPN in 2003, Lisa spent three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC where she gained valuable public accounting and auditing experience on several Fortune 100 commercial aerospace, defense and building companies.

Lisa attended the University of Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in May 2000 and a Masters of Science in Accounting in August 2001, with a Concentration in Audit.  She was born and raised in Connecticut where she currently resides with her husband, Chris, and two young sons, Brayden and Landon.  In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and painting.
