Liz Spaulding

Liz Spaulding is a seasoned marketing & distribution executive with over 15 years in the industry. Currently Director, Distribution at STARZ, Liz she partners with cable operators to package, promote and offer STARZ, increasing revenue and subscribers. Liz serves on the board of the Lionsgate Parents Employee Resource Group, providing feedback and assisting Lionsgate in its DEI efforts. Liz also serves as Vice President for the New York Chapter of the WICT Network.

Prior to STARZ, Liz was the first ever New York Director for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, a non-profit that assists SAG-AFTRA members with career education, emergency assistance, and specialized training. There she managed a team producing over 500 seminars, panel discussions and educational courses annually. Liz also negotiated several cross-promotional and venue partnerships with key guild and arts organizations including 92nd Street Y, AMPAS, BAFTA, Backstage Magazine, NY Television Festival, the PGA, SVA Theatre and the WGA.

Prior to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Liz served as Marketing & Communications associate for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment under Commissioner Katherine Oliver and Mayor Bloomberg, where managed the $4M+ annual incentive: The “Made in NY” Marketing credit, helping to entice productions to shoot 75% or more of their principal photography within the five boroughs.

Liz got her start in the entertainment industry as Marketing Coordinator for Tribeca Film, the distribution arm of the Tribeca Film Festival. She managed the marketing strategy and release windows for over 20 feature films per year, from acquisition, theatrical, day-and-date VOD to home video.

Liz graduated from NYU with a B.A. in English Literature and obtained an MSc. in European Identities from the London School of Economics. Originally from Buffalo, NY Liz has lived in Toronto, ON, Prague, Czech Republic, London, England, and currently resides in Harlem NYC with her husband and daughter.
