Lorraine Hack

Lorraine Hack is a Partner in the firm’s Consumer and Technology Practices where she has placed general management, strategy, finance and marketing executives.  Lorraine has successfully completed searches with a range of companies: from start-ups and earlier stage companies to large corporations including private equity portfolio companies.  Clients have included Hewlett-Packard, Pitney Bowes, Goodman Networks, Novartis, The Topps Company, Red Bull New York, ooVoo, Polo Ralph Lauren, Shine, Marchon and Houghton Mifflin.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Lorraine was at Russell Reynolds Associates, preceded by 15 years as an executive in entertainment, media and operations, where she gained experience in property launches, corporate turnarounds and reorganizations. Lorraine also served as CFO of Fathom, the Columbia University online education venture. Prior to that, she was the Head of Strategy and then Senior Vice President, Executive Operations, for Sesame Workshop. Before that she spent a decade at Viacom in various positions, including Corporate Director for Blockbuster, Vice President at VH1, Director at MTV, Business Manager for Ha! The Comedy Network, and Business Manager for Affiliate Sales and Marketing at corporate MTV Networks. She has held other positions at HBO and Paramount Pictures.

Lorraine is a founding Board member of W.O.M.E.N. in America, a unique mentoring program led by high-profile women executives.  She has also been a member of the Women in Cable and Telecommunications organization for the last fifteen years and served on its Board of Directors in New York for seven years. Additionally she is a long-time member of Women in Film and Television.

Lorraine received a bachelor of science in finance and international business from New York University and an M.B.A. in Media and Communications from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration.  She lives with her husband David in Manhattan.
