Lyndsay O’Herrick

Lyndsay O’Herrick is Manager of Government Affairs at Comcast, where she manages key relationships within the company’s intergovernmental association and third-party portfolios.  She is also responsible for developing partnerships with national educational organizations to support Comcast’s nationwide broadband adoption and technology advocacy efforts.  In this role, Lyndsay attends national convening’s of State and Local elected or appointed officials and educational leaders, and works to advocate on behalf of Comcast’s business interests and policy positions.  This advocacy includes speaking to audiences, presenting on panel discussions and circulating articles and white papers on media and telecommunications issues including broadband adoption, competition, industry investments, and technology and innovation. 

 

Lyndsay also manages the employee grassroots and advocacy program, which is the company’s outreach and education tool for over 100,000 employees.  Her responsibilities include orchestrating the national Voter Registration/Get out the Vote drives, as well as activating employees for targeted engagement in State by State legislative advocacy efforts.  In 2012, Lyndsay developed and implemented an innovative employee grassroots initiative, the Internet Essentials Ambassadors Program, to support Comcast’s Internet Essentials program – the largest and most comprehensive broadband adoption program in America.  In just over one year, the Internet Essentials Ambassadors Program has been launched nationwide in almost every major Comcast market, has engaged year-round participation of nearly 1,300 Comcast employees, and received industry recognition through the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC) by winning a Beacon Award in May 2013 for MSO Headquarters in the Internal Communications category.

 

Prior to joining Comcast, Lyndsay worked in Pennsylvania state government as an Outreach Coordinator for the 150th Legislative District, and has worked for a political action committee, a political advising firm and on Federal, State and Local campaigns in Pennsylvania.

 

Lyndsay received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Temple University, and studied coursework in International Politics, History and Italian as a 2007 graduate of Temple University Rome.  She is on the leadership team for Comcast’s Young Professionals Network (YPN), and a graduate of the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business 2013 Emerging Leaders Program.
