Margaret Craig

​Margaret Craig is an experienced business leader in the media technology space.  She currently serves as CEO of Signiant, a venture-backed software company that provides innovative tools for moving extremely large files across public and private IP networks.  Under her leadership, Signiant has embraced cloud technology and developed a patented Software-as-a-Service platform, delivering a unique next-generation solution to customers and a high-growth recurring revenue stream to the business.

Prior to assuming the CEO role at Signiant in October 2011, Margaret served as COO of Ascent Media Network Services, a provider of managed services for content distribution. There she led the technology transition to file-based delivery platforms and oversaw contract negotiations with some of the world’s largest content owners. Prior to Ascent Media, Margaret was the CEO of publicly-traded Leitch Technology, a global provider of technical infrastructure for television production and transmission; and served as President of Snell & Wilcox, a supplier of video image processing software and hardware. 

Ms. Craig holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.  She began her career as a design engineer at Tektronix, where she contributed to the development of television test equipment and RF products.
