Mariel S. Clark

Mariel S. Clark is the manager of online production for Scripps Networks Interactive. In her current role, she leads the production team responsible for digital project coordination and delivery for SNI Digital Operations initiatives and the Home Category websites including HGTV.com, DIYNetwork.com, HGTVRemodels.com and FrontDoor.com.

Since joining Scripps Networks in 2011, Mariel has provided communication leadership for project status and delivery between multiple teams including core, development, design and editorial. She has streamlined the online production of major tent poles including HGTV Dream Home, HGTV Design Star and DIYNetwork’s Blog Cabin.

Mariel has more than 10 years’ experience writing, producing and managing content for television and the web. Prior to joining Scripps Networks Interactive, she served as editor for news websites in New York City as well as producer and coordinating producer for award-winning series on Food Network, Oxygen and Discovery Channel, among others. Mariel holds a master’s degree in digital media from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.

Outside of work, Mariel is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and also serves as a mentor to incoming students at her alma mater, Columbia University.

She lives in Knoxville, Tenn. with her husband, son and soon-to-be twins and enjoys running, soccer and, as a news-junkie, just about anything on NPR.
