Marietta Obfenda

Marietta Obfenda is a Director of Accounting and Finance in the Cable Division of Comcast Corporation where she oversees Cable’s external reporting functions.  Over the course of her 11 years with the Cable Division, Marietta held various responsibilities including accounting for and integrating several of the Company’s cable acquisitions and system swaps with such companies as ATT Broadband, Adelphia and Time Warner.  Marietta joined the Company in 1997 serving her first three years in Comcast’s Corporate Financial Reporting group where she was responsible for SEC reporting and financial analysis.  Prior to joining Comcast, Marietta worked at the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP for three years performing financial statement audits of clients in the consumer products industry in the Philadelphia region.  During this time she earned her CPA certification for the state of Pennsylvania.

In addition to her work professionally, Marietta is on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Chapter of Women in Cable & Telecommunications where she serves as Treasurer.  In this role she maintains the books and records of the Chapter and works in unison with the Chapter President and Vice President to develop and implement the annual budget and strategic financial plan.  Marietta graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from LaSalle University.  She currently resides in the Elkins Park, Pennsylvania with her husband and four daughters.
