Mauri Thomas

Mauri Thomas is the Manager of Network Provisioning for Time Warner Cable (TWC).  In her current role, Mauri is responsible for leading a team that orders, provisions, and designs voice transport & trunks and backbone circuits. Mauri manages the vendors to ensure due dates are met and circuits are ready for traffic. When TWC made the decision to become a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) and build out their own voice network, Mauri and team worked with over 200 vendors to meet every migration date resulting in over $275M in operational savings to TWC.

 

Prior to joining TWC, Mauri held positions at MCI Worldcom conducting head to head remote test on DDS, Analog Frame Relay and Fractional T1 circuits with major and independent Local Exchange Carriers (LECS). Mauri provisioned Customer and Network circuits at both Winstar Communications and Transaction Network Services Inc (TNSI) which included but not limited to OC3, DS3, T1, DS0, hubs, Feature Group B and D, Frame Relay, VOIP, SS7 links, Ethernet, ISDN, POTS, ISUP and DSL services. 

 

Mauri is an active member of WICT-DC/Baltimore chapter and has attended events such as Power Brokers Breakfast, WICT Leadership Conference, and volunteered the WICT/NAMIC Holiday fundraising party; a charitable event for Girls Inc.  She is a member of The Women’s Collective.  She currently serves on the board as Programming Committee Chair for NAMIC-Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

 

In her spare time, Mauri enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two daughters.
