Melissa Huerta is Director, HR Administrative Services for the California Region West Division Cable group. Recently she took on this key position focusing on HR Transformation and restructuring HR for the 21st century in addition to overseeing and managing a newly created “Centers of Excellence” HR Administrative Shared Services team responsible for all HR transactional activity for around 6,800 employees.
Melissa has been in the cable industry for over 12 years working with MediaOne, AT&T Broadband, Adelphia and Comcast and has been a “change agent” in her roles in each of these cable companies. Prior to joining the cable industry, Melissa has worked in HR for Georgia-Pacific and Phillips Petroleum.
Melissa received her BS degree in Human Resource Management from Metro State College in Denver. In 2001, she participated in the Walter Kaitz Fellowship program and was also a past Treasurer for the Denver Chapter of NAMIC. She also has Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification as well as being a member of the Society for Human Resource Professionals.
